Since its inception in 2020, the GAP Food Assistance Program has been a beacon of hope for Grandfamilies around Northern Alabama & across the state, providing much-needed support and sustenance. With a mission to alleviate hunger and support those raising grandchildren, this initiative has become a vital lifeline for many in the community.
Through a grant and local supporters, we have provided food assistance to our families nearly every week since then, supplying over 160 tons of food.
Pickup is normally held every other Thursday evening in New Market, AL and is first come, first served.
